Make an error easy to find.
- The PolityIQ page URL and the poll, candidate, race or map area involved.
- The figure or wording you believe is wrong.
- The original release, official result or other primary evidence, with its date and table or page reference.
- What you expected to see. For a display problem, include device and browser details.
How corrections are handled.
Reports are checked against primary evidence. A verified correction should identify the affected record and retain the source context. Conflicting polling revisions remain held until resolved; a disputed number should not silently replace an accepted record.
Material corrections should carry a note explaining what changed. If a correction affects a shared social card, the corresponding social post also needs review. Routine live count updates are distinguished from editorial corrections.
No response time is guaranteed. Source outages and unresolved reports do not justify filling gaps with invented figures.
Accessibility and permissions.
Use the same contact route for keyboard navigation problems, unreadable maps, missing alternative text, or an image or data attribution concern. Include the affected URL so it can be checked.
